Snoop Is Sharp As A Dogg

Since we were kids, we were taught to spell correctly, which was probably why Chrissy Teigen made a mistake in tweeting Snoop Dogg’s name. However, the rapper wasn’t born with this odd nickname; his real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.

Snoop Dogg’s original nickname was “Snoopy” because he resembled the Peanuts character of the same name. He later changed it to “Snoop Doggy Dogg” before becoming “Snoop Lion” when he released a reggae album. The rapper also went by the names  “Snoopzilla” and “Tha Doggfather.” He later reverted to his original moniker and continues to be called as such.
