Do What You Command
A man was spotted riding in the back of a truck this afternoon, wearing a bright neon green shirt that said “think safety.” It made you chuckle, knowing how precarious his position was! It speaks to the importance of road safety, which statistics show can save lives: 80% of road traffic deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, 1.25 million people die each year due to road crashes, and road collisions are the leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds.
Even if the man in the truck wasn’t putting his own safety first, his shirt was and it was a reminder to us all to think critically about the roads we’re traveling.
