Johnny Depp – The Pirates of the Caribbean

The Pirates of the Caribbean films made Johnny Depp an even bigger star globally, but he first gained attention as a youthful undercover cop in 21 Jump Street. The ’90s saw him team up with Tim Burton in several films like Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood. 

At 57, he maintains a somehow edgy appearance, but it’s quite a different look from when he starred in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. The Hollywood Reporter published a piece that inspired an online petition for Depp to return to the Pirates franchise. The piece explained that his career took a downturn in recent years, and the 2021 petition received 500K signatures.
