Meryl Streep & Don Gummer – Married Since 1978

Meryl Streep was in the process of mourning the loss of her late boyfriend, actor John Cazale, in 1978 when love came knocking on her door again. On the other side of it was sculptor Don Gummer, a friend of her brother’s. Just six months after that first meeting, Streep and Gummer became husband and wife.

And although their romance was a whirlwind one, the years proved that their connection is lasting. Together, they welcomed four children, with two following the “Mamma Mia” actress’s footsteps into acting. Gummer remains supportive of Streep, who starred in “Don’t Look Up” in 2021 and often accompanies her on the red carpet.
