There are a lot of impressive things about Ghana: one, it has a robust economy that relies on cocoa, oil, and gold, and two, its capital city of Accra is one of the richest cities in the world. It will soon be known for having an improved soccer team because, since its first qualifier in 2006, the players have mastered the sport.

According to Changing Worlds, Ghana also means “warrior king” in the Mande language, so we can say that the players are all warriors. These women obviously didn’t come to the event to play nice because they even wore their national flag!
