Italy
Italy’s flag is composed of red, green, and white stripes to signify charity, hope, and faith respectively. It is called Il Tricolore, celebrated on January 7, and was said to be inspired by the French flag. On top of this, the nation also boasts ultra-supportive World Cup fans that are known as Tifosi.
Italy is also considered one of the most successful countries in the World Cup, winning four titles in the past, the last being in 2006. Bleacher Report notes that some of the most notable players to have come from this nation are Gianluigi Buffon, Luigi Riva, and Giuseppe “Peppino” Meazza.
