Despite being a tiny country, its rich biodiversity makes up for it. It is also the only country to be named after a geographical feature, the equator.

Ecuador is not just home to these gorgeous ladies; it also boasts equally mesmerizing flowers, hence its moniker “Orchid Capital of the World.” In fact, Metropolitan Tourist explained that there is a special kind of orchid in the shape of a monkey that grows there! More interestingly, it smells like orange when in full bloom.
