Aircraft Flying Falcons
The falcon, United Arab Emirates’ national bird, symbolizes courage and power as part of the Arabian culture. As displayed in this photograph, they soar majestically above the Persian Gulf. Falconry has long been a sport in the Middle East, with historical roots that traverse centuries, spreading it to ancient Rome and Persia during their trading expeditions.
In the UAE, these birds are held in high regard and are even allowed to fly on commercial planes. They even have their own passports! One can only wonder what television shows they watch during their flights; perhaps “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” is a favorite?
