Are we even surprised that the first-ever gold ATM was unveiled in Dubai? Located in the prestigious Emirates Palace Hotel, the vending machine dispenses small gold bars instead of cash like a regular ATM. It was created in Germany and featured a live display of the rates for one-, five-, and ten-gram-worth bars.
The machine has attracted much attention since its installation in May 2010, with visitors flocking to the hotel to get a glimpse of the novelty item.
