Jim Carrey – Inspired Hair Growth

You know in the film “Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls” where Ventura retreats to a monastery, depressed after losing his monkey? Did you notice that despite being depressed and in a monastery he doesn’t have a beard? That’s because Jim Carrey doesn’t do facial hair.

It’s unclear whether that is a rule or just a happy coincidence, but during the 2020 lockdown, Jim Carrey decided to go off-brand and grow a beard, even starting a challenge in the process. Carrey promised to let his beard grow until people could start going to work again. He appeared in a documentary called “Val” in 2021.
