In November 2021, Beto O’Rourke’s name was associated with Texas’s race for Governor, and he was already attacked in an ad published by his possible rival Greg Abbott. While the future looks bright for O’Rourke, his one-of-a-kind El Paso home is all about the past.

O’Rourke is very proud of his historic El Paso home, which was once the site of an iconic meeting between the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa and the United States General Hugh Scott. The meeting took place in 1915 and was deemed crucial in the negotiations that eventually led to the end of Mexico’s civil war along the border.
