When Sanders acquired the property in 2016, multiple outlets criticized him for splashing over half a million in the beautiful lakefront home, with some asking, “can socialists do that?” Socialist or not, Sanders too is entitled to enjoy the fruits of his labor and spend his $3-million fortune in whichever way he finds appropriate.
