Martina Navratilova (Born in 1956)
Martina Navratilova is a former professional tennis player and coach. Widely considered among the greatest tennis players of all time, Navratilova won 18 Grand Slam singles titles, ten major mixed doubles titles, and 31 major women’s doubles titles. She was ranked No. 1 in singles for a total of 332 weeks.
In 1986 in West Germany, she became the second player in modern tennis history to win 1000 matches. At age 46, she became the oldest player to win at Wimbledon after winning the mixed doubles at the U.S. Open in 2006. She then retired from competitive play.
