Jerry Rice (Born in 1962)
Jerry Rice is an American former professional football player. He played for the NFL for 20 seasons and won three championships with the San Fransisco 49ers. He was nicknamed “World” due to his superb catching abilities, numerous accomplishments, and records. This also led him to be regarded as the greatest wide receiver in NFL history.
Some believe he is the best football player of all time. In 1999, The Sporting News listed him only second to Jim Brown on their list, “Football’s 100 Greatest Players.” In 2010, he was chosen by the NFL Network’s production “The Top 100: NFL’s Greatest Players” as the greatest player in NFL history.
