Happy Postpartum
The infant was too little to play with Keola, and all he did was stare at the puppy. Keola was never away, though; either Lincoln would feed him, Alhanna would bathe him, or pat him to sleep. Alhanna would often see Keola sleeping next to his son and instantly thought of the days when she was helpless in the hospital bed. But then she thanked God that she had loving people around.
The circumstances could have been different if Keola hadn’t indirectly insisted on her checkup. Unlike many other moms, Alhanna’s postpartum period went smoothly and happily with the sincerer support of everyone in the residence.
