Rainer Holzschuh – fortune unknown
Every Monday, a football fan’s first step was to the kiosk, where he could read the latest edition of Kicker, where he could read game comments and results. Kicker editor-in-chief Rainer Holzschuh has had a lasting impact on the football world in Germany with his magazine. The sports journalist, who was born in Franconia, died suddenly at the age of 77. In 1971, Holzschuh first took over the West editorial department of the magazine, later becoming editor-in-chief. Although “Mister Kicker” has certainly earned well throughout his career, he has never been driven by money, but rather by his passion for the sport. The man from Nuremberg managed the magazine for almost 40 years; after his death, clubs and football stars expressed their condolences to the family.
