Christian Drosten has been in the public eye since the beginning of the Corona crisis. The virologist was awarded six different prizes last year, but even before Covid-19 he received numerous awards for his scientific work.

As head of virology in Europe’s largest laboratory, his expertise was of course in great demand over the past year, and the professor gained a certain level of notoriety through his informative podcasts and television appearances. However, the fate of the star virologist is unknown, because although Drosten is now in the public eye, he is primarily a scientist and does not share his private details with his audience.
