Hugh Bonneville – £5.93 Million
The Crawleys were finally back after a seemingly long break in November 2021 as the first promo trailer for “Downton Abbey: A New Era” was unveiled to a jubilant audience. Initially set for a March 2021 release, the drama romance, starring Hugh Bonneville as Robert Crawley, had been delayed due to the 2020 lockdown.
Bonneville apparently struck gold when he first landed the role of Robert Crawley in 2010 and has stayed on as the lead on the ITV drama since. Best known for his supporting roles in “Iris,” “Mansfield Park” and “Notting Hill,” Bonneville became the second-highest-paid cast member on “Downton Abbey” and has a reported £5.93 Million to his name.
