While Manolo Gonzales Vergara shares his mother striking features, he also has her love for the film industry. He had a small role alongside her in the Comedy but has turned to film directing, with his debut film Post Mortem, completed in 2017, two years after he finished film school.

While her son has kickstarted his career in film, Sofia became the highest-paid actress in television thanks to her performance as Gloria Delgado-Pritchet in the comedy series Modern Family. Manolo’s latest film, The Big Feed, about two maids trying to survive a night in Dracula’s house, is currently in post-production.
