“Today” host Hoda Kotb never thought she would become a mom, but this dream came true with the help of her ex-fiance Joel Schiffman in 2017. They adopted Haley and added another one, Hope, two years later. Even though she and her partner called it quits, she has been grateful for her former flame, explaining that she would’ve been too afraid of the process.

Kotb has also been open to her kids about their adoption, although she isn’t sure if they fully grasp the concept. Nonetheless, family is first for the anchor because, in 2023, she took a two-week leave from the show to address her kids’ needs.
