Howard Schultz, Businessman, $5 billion

Billionaire American businessman Howard Schultz could be rightly regarded as the father of America’s coffee culture. He worked with Starbucks in the early ‘80s but quit to start his specialty coffee shop, Il Giornale. He eventually merged this with Starbucks and turned the franchise into an international success.

Schultz has had a remarkable journey to success. He grew up in a home where his parents worked for very long hours to earn something significant to support the family. Watching his father struggle financially compelled him to do well in school, and now his kids certainly can’t go through a similar experience.
