Pete Doherty – $1.32 Million, Wiltshire

This red-bricked building belongs to the Earl of Cardigan, but at a time, it was inhabited by Pete Doherty. In 2009, the troubled singer invited MTV for the filming of the documentary “Pete Doherty In 24 Hours,” and it revealed the messy and sordid state of the house they star rented for £1 million ($1.32 million).

The nine-bedroom mansion was in such deteriorated state that the owner reportedly spent £65k ($85k) to restore the place after Doherty moved out in 2010. Doherty, in September 2021, got engaged to and married Katia de Vidas, a bandmate in Putas Madres.

Emma Thompson – $5.34 Million, London

In January 2014, Dame Emma Thompson’s London home was nearly burnt in a fire but was salvaged thanks to the efforts of local firefighters. After a neighboring structure that is a part of her semi-detached home caught fire, five fire engines were promptly on the scene to prevent her house from burning to a cinder.

Although not much is known about it publicly, the charming brick-covered residence is where Thompson and her husband Greg Wise spend time with their family. In November 2021, Thomson backed Mary’s Meals Double the Love campaign, asking people to donate for charity and help feed hungry students.
