The “Saturday Night Live” star was presenting Ellen DeGeneres the Carol Burnett Award For Achievement when she explained that seeing DeGeneres on TV helped her through her self-discovery process. McKinnon and actress/photographer Jackie Abbott made their red carpet debut during the 2017 Emmys.

They maintain a low profile when it comes to their relationship, which is something that came up during The Hollywood Reporter actors roundtable in 2015. McKinnon explained that she keeps her personal life private because she wouldn’t want to reveal anything about herself that misrepresents her real feelings.
