Sam Elliott & Katharine Ross — 37 Years

If there’s someone who is taken by Sam Elliott’s bushy mustache more than Western casting directors, it’s Katharine Ross. The twosome met in 1978 while filming “The Legacy,” and six years later, they were married. When asked if it’s Elliott’s baritone voice, mustache, or rugged good looks that won her over, Ross told The Mercury News that it’s probably all that plus more.

Their Hollywood love story includes a daughter, Cleo Rose Elliott, a successful musician. The couple resides at a seaside ranch in Malibu that they purchased in the ’70s. Their real estate portfolio includes Elliott’s childhood home in Portland and another address in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
