Jimmy Carter
Before serving as the 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter was an officer in the Naval Army. He had always dreamed of serving his country and even met his wife, Rosalynn Smith while pursuing his passion relentlessly! The politician finally got accepted in 1948 and began his training as a junior.
Carter served till 1961 and retired at the rank of lieutenant. During his time, he undertook risky projects that even included dismantling nuclear reactors! This may have been the reason why he felt so strongly about atomic energy during his term.
