His marriage to the American journalist is his second, as he was initially married to the late Australian actress Cassandra Harris. He tied the knot with Smith in 2001, ten years after his first marriage. When not playing doting father and husband, Brosnan is playing a fictional character—he was King Rowan in the 2021 romantic musical “Cinderella.”
