Vamp fanatics might recognize Evan Rachel Wood from her role as the vampire queen Sophie Anne-Leclerq in the series “True Bloods.” Although she might not possess underworldly fangs in real life, Wood does have a mysterious tattoo on her back. It reads “All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”

While the phrase itself might prove exciting for eager intellectuals, it’s actually an excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “A Dream Within a Dream.” Wood also has four more tattoos that are inconspicuous or well-hidden. Since 2016, she’s played the character of Dolores Abernathy in “Westworld.”
