Jay Sean is a prominent British singer-songwriter of Asian descent, who gained recognition in the Asian underground scene with the Rishi Rich Project Group and their hit song “Dance With You,” which charted at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart in 2003

Although he was an excellent student in high school and got admitted to the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University in London, he chose to pursue his passion for music and dropped out of school. His decision has certainly paid off, as he has become one of the most successful musicians of Asian descent in the British music industry.
