Pretty Privilege
Good-looking people, just like Amanda, are normally considered almost perfect. Other people think they are good at everything even when they clearly aren’t. This is what is known as pretty privilege. It is when conventionally attractive people are given more opportunities purely based on looks instead of earning their positions like average-looking people.
Amanda was tired of this, and so she decided to take drastic measures. She went to the store and bought a fat bodysuit, ugly dentures, and prosthetics to make herself appear more average. This was a crazy idea, but she needed to prove that she was more than just a pretty face.
