TJ IV
Thomas Jefferson Butler IV was named after his father and grandfather, but everyone called him TJ. Just like his folks, he grew up in Wilmington, and much like his peers, he couldn’t wait to leave for college. He also didn’t know what life had in store for him.
According to estimates, 80% of Americans hold jobs that they didn’t exactly envision as part of their career paths. Risk aversion is the primary reason most of us choose to hold onto a well-paying job versus chasing after our dreams. It usually comes down to breaking down the conditioning we’ve grown up with that dictates perceived things that would make us happy.
