YOLANDA MONTES – 90 YEARS OLD

Is it easy for you to be recognized as one of the best dancers in America? It is clearly something very difficult, but it was not so for the Mexican Yolanda Montes. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, surely Tongolele will, the vedette who was part of the San Francisco International Ballet and also learned different types of dance, therefore over time she learned to merge styles and rhythms. She had roles in films such as “El rey del barrio”, “Música de siempre”, “Amor a go-go”, “Panther women” and “The fabulous reventón”. The last thing we could see of her professionally was “The Fantastic World of Juan Orol” in 2012.
