This family appears so unusual because who takes a family photograph with everyone holding a pick weapon? Of course, we cannot fault them for wanting to spend quality time together, but a less creepy picture would have sufficed. This photo quickly went viral and had people wondering what was going on. In particular, they were curious about bears in their midst.
Generally, polar bears are not unnecessarily dangerous, but you wouldn’t find them posing for pictures with humans either. Their ideal habitat is in the icy regions of the Arctic and it would be better for them to not have human interactions, considering they are already a vulnerable species.
