If anyone tells this woman that parrots can be friendly, we’re sure she’ll beg to differ. If the pain she must have felt in her ear is anything to go by, the Roatán parrots are no different from wild animals. Parrots are usually known more for talking rather than biting.
Perhaps on this Caribbean island a few miles off the Honduras northern coast, no one teaches the resident parrots to use their words instead of resorting to violence. We can only hope the stunning view of the blue water beaches of the island was able to cover up for this woman’s painful experience.
