TJ had difficulties finding time to get back home to share the experience of raising his son. He had many responsibilities as a military man, which meant that, unfortunately, his family life somehow took a back burner. There were plenty of moments he missed because the call of duty superseded them.

Military deployment, particularly in combat zones, changes a person. They witness destruction, injuries, and death. Even if they return home without physical injuries, they are left with emotional scars. They are often unable to talk about what they experienced or prefer not to talk about it excessively.
