A Satisfactory Evening
Claudia constantly checked her phone and looked at the clock. She wanted the clock to hit five as soon as it could, and when it did, she was in such a rush that she didn’t even greet anyone properly. She booked a cab, and when the driver asked her about the destination, she unconsciously screamed, “home!”
When she reached, she imagined her daughter crying at the full of her throat. But when her niece opened the door and welcomed her in, there was nothing she expected. Ava was playing joyfully with her musical toys. With a sigh of relief, Claudia could call it a satisfactory evening.
