Ice Cold Fox
While alligators can live in ice and not pass away, foxes are not nearly as lucky, though, and when the temperatures get too low, they’re in imminent danger. One man, Franz Stehle, found a frozen fox in his native Germany along the Danube River in 2016. And if anyone had any doubts about these furry vulpine predators faring against freezing temperatures, the proof was in the pudding.
Instead of leaving the creature in frozen mass, however, Stehle and his son decided to carve out the fox and got this mesmerizing, intact mammal. Not the most ideal way to preserve animal remains, but nature always finds a way.
