Ray Parlour – Unknown Price, Essex

Now for something a bit different. Best known as an Arsenal midfielder, former soccer player Ray Parlour had seemingly found an excellent retirement investment when he plopped down an unspecified amount of cash for a pub called the Ferry Boat Inn in Essex’s North Farmbridge village.

Described by the Maldon Standard as Parlour’s “new home from home,” the quaint bed and breakfast is located right by the river and features six contemporary-style bedrooms. While he’s not busy managing the place, the former Hull City star works as a talkSPORT presenter as of 2021.
