Gary Neville – £650K (Land Price), Lancashire

As a former Premier League player, Gary Neville reached the heights of soccer fame. So, it comes as no surprise that he also had lofty ambitions for his dream home. His vision manifested in an eco-house design that some likened to the one where the Teletubbies lived.

Meant to be a carbon-neutral mansion partially submerged in the rolling Lancashire landscape, it didn’t materialize, and Neville listed the land the home was supposed to be on for £650K. There’s still a lot to keep him busy, though, as he hosts an eponymous podcast for Sky Sports in 2021.
