Wait, Is that A Dog?
If you look at this photo and believe that this guy is dragging a large mop behind him, technically speaking, you would not be totally wrong. This is because the Komondor breed of dogs is also known as ‘mop dogs’ due to their unusual appearance.
According to folklore, these dogs either originated in Hungary or Russia and are direct descendants of Aftscharka, a Russian breed of herding dogs. Given that their ancestors traversed the harsh cold climates of Southern Russia, suddenly their thick, unusual coat of curly fur starts to make a lot of sense.
