Coco Chanel – Deceased At 87 – Fashion Designer
Coco Chanel is arguably one of the most influential personalities in the history of fashion. She was a French designer/businesswoman who single-handedly popularized the casual-chic style and named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people of the 20th century.
Sadly, Chanel couldn’t find a man good enough to fit her impossibly high standards until she died in Paris back in 1971. She was never married and didn’t have any children. Her real name is Gabrielle Chanel, and she gained the nickname “Coco” from her time working as a chanteuse during her youth.
