Diamond Guidance

Here is yet another object that we use regularly but do not pay enough attention to detail: the measuring tape! We simply stretch it out and measure the length between two points by counting the markers!

If you think it is so simple and know all about it, have you noticed the tiny diamonds on the tape? Well, if not, take a look at it the next time you stumble upon this handy household implement. These markings, aka “stud finders,” help measure the right points for a wall stud and spot the midpoint in between two points. You are welcome!
