For Andrew Upton and Cate Blanchett, three weeks was more than enough for them to realize they were meant for each other. Funny enough, the loving pair had rather disagreeable first impressions about each other. Upton thought “The Hobbit” star was aloof, while she thought he was arrogant.

Later, on the set of “Oscar and Lucinda,” where Blanchett needed him to teach her poker, their feelings for each other dramatically changed. Upton memorably slipped a ring on his soulmate’s finger that year just after realizing she was a terrible cook. Blanchett was cast in several movies in 2021, including one titled “Nightmare Alley.”
