Linda Ronstadt – 1946
Linda Ronstadt touched the hearts of many through her beautiful voice. However, her fans were devastated when she announced her retirement in 2011. In 2013, she disclosed to AARP that she had Parkinson’s disease, which sadly claimed her singing ability.
Ronstadt has had a fantastic career to cherish, winning a plethora of awards, including ten Grammys and three American Music Awards. You can tell that she’s got a loyal fan base since she released 24 studio albums and 15 compilation or greatest hits albums for them to listen to. Now 74, Ronstadt starred in a documentary film, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice, in 2019.
