Death completes the natural cycle of life, but this knowledge doesn’t make it any easier to handle when it strikes close to home. It’s a subject most people avoid until the inevitable happens, and with it comes the process of learning to cope with life after losing a loved one.
Grief isn’t a feeling you can’t easily shake off, and even after finding healing, it still lingers. No loss is worse than any other, but mothers are not supposed to bury their children. Sadly, several have dealt with this reality.
A Shared Ritual
In the midst of performing her regular ritual, Donna noticed a peculiar yet familiar guest. She had taken note of him during her previous weekly trips. Donna felt compelled to approach the young boy she encountered weekly, who was always in the company of his mother.
Reaching out would reveal more than she had gathered at face value, making her assess everything about her predicament and look at life differently. She couldn’t have imagined that their shared circumstances would help her in the process of finding healing.
